Week 3

I can't believe we're finishing the 3rd week.We had lots of assignments.I just keep double checking to see if I've missed anything.We learnt about delicious.All my collegues at school have never heard of it.Even CALL is new to me.Also i've asked my collegues about blogging.Nobody has heard about it even our ICTteachers.I'll try to talk to our professinal development trainer to introduce all these great ideas coz I like sharing any knowledge I have,although I think it will be impossible for me to introduce blogging to Grade 3 students so instead I'll collaborate with our trainer to introduce blogging to develop us professionally.Great idea...blogging

Reflection on week 2

Wheeeew.As I had commented previously, for me week 2 was so hectic&for me too this week is going to be more hectic. We've just been told at our weekly newsletter to prepare assessment tests for next week&also prepare the 2nd term exams which are scheduled to take place from 8th February. I read about CALL. For me this is my first time to read about it.  as I'm comparatively new in the teaching profession I was surprised there was such a term because I've been using it unconsciously and I didn't know that it was coined thus.Also Maria Busa's article provides 'a new perspective' too . This course is really opening lots of new 'doors'&'windows'for me.I know we are just supposed to read only two articles but I'll also try to read the third too when I'm free for my own development. Our school projector is out of order&we are still waiting for a new one.
We'll be having a workshop this Saturday for professional development. This is our second one this academic year. We really have a great tutor who has introduced us to the world of Harry Wong&Ted.He's teaching us new ideas for an interactive class&we too have to role play as students.

first week.

This week has been really hectic for me at school. We were supposed to have sent our first term reports at the beginning of December but there have been so many delays due to holidays. Secondly the monthly tests are supposed to have taken place but they haven't been printed, a lot of irate calls from parents. Here tests are taken very seriously& a lot of competition between kids&parents too.I've implemented the ABCD.I'm also going to try blogging but my pupils are a bit young so I'll try either with grade 6or ask secondary schooltteachers to help me. Hopefully they won't be having tests too
