Week 3

I can't believe we're finishing the 3rd week.We had lots of assignments.I just keep double checking to see if I've missed anything.We learnt about delicious.All my collegues at school have never heard of it.Even CALL is new to me.Also i've asked my collegues about blogging.Nobody has heard about it even our ICTteachers.I'll try to talk to our professinal development trainer to introduce all these great ideas coz I like sharing any knowledge I have,although I think it will be impossible for me to introduce blogging to Grade 3 students so instead I'll collaborate with our trainer to introduce blogging to develop us professionally.Great idea...blogging

    Hi,
    I agree there is a lot to do and I'm afraid to miss any assignments. But I feel we learn a lot and the knowledge is very useful in our every day teaching. I found the articles on using authentic materials very inetersting and I will share them with my colleagues.

    Week 5,
    Well,it was an eventful week.I learnt a lot this week.PBL,Alternative Assessment,Rubrics,WebQuests.I love teaching.Although I've been using Rubrics to assess my student,I didn't know it was that.I also use Dolch Sight words for assessing reading.I print out,write the pupil's name& I tick the words read.I've sent letters to the parents for my WebQuest but we'll be having 2nd Term Exams from 16-20 February(our school day begin from Sunday to Thursday)Friday &Saturdays are weekend.All the parents replied that their kids are revising for the exams but maybe later.I'm also setting the exams in checkpoint format to prepare kids to get used to Cambridge Checkpoint exams.I also got my email from Donna late so its hectic.Are all of you having trouble with webquest?I'm but will keep on trying.The problem is network.I reach in the middle of something,then poof its all gone.I'm looking forward to next week.Karima
